In 2025 I had the opportunity to work with a former Mojave Center Alumni and friend to build his tiny home in the Sulphur Springs Valley of Cochise County using the RU-4 Owner Builder Opt-Out. Rich, the homeowner, and I had little in the way of legal red tape and were able to finish the bones of his 600 sq. ft home over the course of 4 volunteer workshops resulting in 5 interconnected domes of diameters 9, 9, 11, 12, and 13 feet. It took an exceptional effort from the whole community to finish in something like 29 days of laying earthbag through the spring and culminating with the final workshop of October of 2025.
